Welcome to our new Gecko Games! Each year, students participate in our Gecko Games as we celebrate our hard work and showcase the skills we have learned in Physical Education. Students engage in cooperative play with their classmates as they rotate through 10 different game stations.
The history of the Olympic Games goes back around 3,000 years in Ancient Greece. Sports contests organized at Olympia took place every four years and acquired the name Olympic Games. The first Games of the modern era were held in Athens in 1896. The goal of the Olympic Movement is to contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport.
The Olympic spirit is demonstrated by mutual understanding, friendship, solidarity and fair play. We carry the tradition and the spirit of the Olympic games in our Gecko Games!
